Thermometer and Calendar, Miami Beach, Florida, USA
It can get very hot on Miami Beach, figuratively and literally. However, we are quite sure it's never been 120°F anytime in recent memory, and especially not in October.
Many communities have public clocks, calendars, and thermometers. This one was a little unusual in that it was completely analog and appears to have a little bench to sit on.
The thermometer above was definitely broken, as the record books show that the temperature on October 17, 2004 was no more than 85°F.
