Soothing Sea

Cruise Ship Wake, Caribbean Sea
One of the things we love about cruising is the ample time to do nothing but relax. Sitting and watching the wake from the stern of a big cruise ship is so relaxing, it is almost hypnotic. The beautiful endless patterns against a blue sea and blue sky are one of the many things which draws us to the sea and cruising.

A Room With A View

Great Bay, Sint Maarten, The Netherlands Antilles
This is a moment that highlights the relaxation and beauty to be found on a cruise vacation. After an exciting day touring the Island of Concordia (home to the Dutch Sint Maarten and French Saint-Martin), from the balcony of our cabin we watched the sun dip below the mountains on the Great Bay.

Nothing Daffy

Cruise Ship Dinner, Caribbean Sea
This delicious dinner of roast duck and fruit, risotto, and broccoli bruschetta was served while we were en route from Nassau to Sint Maarten. The entree was delicious (although we didn't know it when we took the picture).

Tropical Paradise

Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas, US Virgin Islands
Winter may still be roaring over much of the Northern Hemisphere, but in this picture it's summer. We took this beautiful view from atop Paradise Point.

Viva La Blue

jetBlue A320, Maho Beach, St Maarten, The Netherlands Antilles
This picture was taken from famous Maho Beach, on the island of Concordia (St Martin/St Maarten), as jetBlue's A320 Viva La Blue was landing at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). This airport is considered one of the best and most unique by plane-spotters the around world.

Conched Out

Conch Fritters, Nassau, Bahamas
Sundays are often for kicking back and relaxing over a nice long brunch. Here at Topograpix we have Succulent Sunday.

These cute little morsels are from a place called Conch Fritters Bar and Grill in Nassau. Needless to say, we ordered conch fritters there.

The original picture was of the entire plate, but we decided to zoom in and show the golden brown color of the fritters.

When we zoomed in, we discovered a tiny piece of napkin on one of the fritters. Thanks to Google's Picasa, we were able to touch up the fritter and remove the napkin. The Picasa desktop tool is excellent at adjusting and touching up photos. We highly recommend it.
