Perry Motor Lodge Sign, Perry, Florida, USA
When we took this picture of the Perry Motor Lodge sign in 1992, both the lodge and the sign were old and decrepit. We've heard that the sign still stands.
The Perry Motor Lodge stood on U.S. Highway 27, which in the days before the Interstate Highway System carried folks from the midwest to Miami. U.S. Highway 27 is not so busy anymore and threads through many communities whose glory days are long past.
