The Streamline Moderne (Art Deco) terminal of Long Beach Airport (LGB), also known as Daugherty Field, is a national historic landmark. Built in 1941, most of the airport terminal (inside and out) appears as it has for many decades. Even the restaurant is a throwback to a gentler age of air travel and includes a viewing platform to watch airliner movements to and from the terminal.
