Tomorrow night is the start of Passover (Pesach). We don't generally eat off the Seder plate, but we do usually eat most of what's on it from other dishes.  There's also the Matzo plate too.  Happy Passover!

Time for Spring

This bee was visiting these pretty flowers during a fine June day in Cincinnati.  The colors of the bee and flowers match as if they were made for each other.

This is a close up of a walkway plank from Granville Island in Vancouver.  Every day billions of people walk on sidewalks, boardwalks, dirt, and more.  Beneath our feet are often varied patterns of beauty.

Summer Breeze

The cold weather has us thinking about eating outside in a warmer climate.  This platter of dolmas, rice, and other Mediterranean delights reminds of us such days.  This restaurant served the stuffed leaves warm atop spicy rice with all the trimmings.

Cooking Up The Hits

Sex and the City, The Sopranos, and many other successful TV shows and movies were filmed in the former Silvercup Bakery building.  When we took this picture, we had no idea of the importance of Silvercup Studios to entertainment and NYC.  We just liked the sign!

Crank It Up

While roaming through an estate sale in an old home, we spied an old Ditto machine.  The smells and sounds of Ditto machines were ubiquitous in 20th Century schools.  We both remember making Ditto masters of crossword puzzles and cartoons to share with our classmates.  We also remember feeling extra special because we were allowed to hand-crank the purple copies from the Ditto machines.

Shrine of the Book

We visited the Shrine of the Book on a cold and cloudy winter's day.  It houses the Dead Sea Scrolls and other ancient religious artifacts.
