Nice Ice
Evergreen Lake, Evergreen, Colorado, USA
Colorado is definitely a place to go for skiing, but it is also fun to go ice skating on one of its beautiful lakes with a mountain view. At Evergreen Lake, in the small mountain town of Evergreen, you can rent skates and have fun on the ice.

Worth Much More Than A Nickel
Nickel Creek, Fabulous Fox Theatre, Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Nowadays, plenty of folks take pictures at shows. We never used to take photos during concerts, but by the mid-naughties it seemed to be normal for folks to whip out their camera phones and grab snapshots. So, we joined the bandwagon and took this photo during a wonderful concert by Nickel Creek at Atlanta's Fabulous Fox Theatre. Nickel Creek may not be active anymore, but we have special memories of this evening.

Anticipation
Cheeseburger and Fries, Decatur, Georgia, USA
We waited twenty minutes at Decatur's Farm Burger to order this delicious cheeseburger, and it was worth the wait! Although the title of this post is "Anticipation", this cheeseburger was topped with homemade paprika mayonnaise and not Heinz ketchup!

Cheaper than a Palm Reader
Public Binoculars, Portland, Maine, USA
For just 25 or 50 cents, you can look out into Casco Bay for a few minutes. Public binoculars are found in many places where there is a scenic view. These allow you to see far ahead for less cost than a fortune teller or palm reader.

Liquid Sun
Cloud Gate, Chicago, Illinois, USA
The sun hit the famous Cloud Gate sculpture at just the right moment to create this image. Located in Millennium Park and familiarly known as The Bean, the Cloud Gate is meant to resemble liquid mercury and is a favorite of both locals and tourists.
